What I have noticed with ChiSonics is that they change quite a bit depending on location, and where you are playing, so I'm sure the tone will be different then your DJ.

Great bass! I love the darkstar pickups and they probably kill in the hollowbody! PM NUBS for a number. Awesome awesome.

Hey gang... I'm attempting to dial in my tone a little more with my 44-02 on my Eden Nemesis NA320 head and would love some input from you all... My typical signal chain is the bass into an ART Tube preamp, then to the head, and using either one or two SWR Workingman's 2x10 cabs, or a 1x15 and 2x10 cab depending on the band/venue. Total wattage handling is 400 watts with either setup, and the head is rated at 320 watts at 4 ohms.
The issue I'm having is that things sound a bit 'boxy' when completely flat, using all pickups with all coils on... I chalk this up to the cabs mainly. The head itself is great, and I know the sound of the bass direct inside and out. I've had success with dialing in a moderate amount of the enhance knob, which cuts some of the low mids but also boosts the highs and lows. I usually end up rolling the master bass control off a little bit after this adjustment and it cleans things up nicely, and frees up a bit more headroom. I was experimenting with the parametric EQ as well to cut some of the mud out (300-500 Hz depending), but the enhance seemed to clean things up pretty well for me. I head to the onboard EQ for a touch of extra mids if necessary to tighten things up after the fact. The good thing is that everything is pretty easily cleaned up without excessive EQ. Naturally, the 44-02 flat into the board is beautiful. Anyway, what are other Eden + Lakland 44-02/4-94 players using for settings? I'd like to at least have a benchmark for comparison.

I can't answer that question because I don't have an Eden or a 4-94, but how do you like your ART Tube pre? I should be getting mine in a few days.
I'm thinking you have yet to own a Chi equipped bass, and therefor are oblivious to the glory and power that will be at your fingertips.

Love it... warms up any solid state head and sounds great direct as well. I'm not a grind guy, but I love a nice bit of tube warmth. We did an a/b on some tracks I did recently with one of my bands where I did 2 passes on the same song, trying to play the parts as identically as possible... the bass sounded very powerful and clear completely direct (thru a Countryman T85 DI), but warm and edgy with the ART in front of the DI, but still powerful. We preferred the tube signal, but used the fully direct in some parts for clarity with the other instruments.
You've got that backwardsI don't have any Chi equipped basses, I'm "Chi-shy" and that aint good.

Lets see...it is 7:15 there now....that gives you about 12 hours to do some serious testing and sound clips and to give me a FULL report in the AM that I can read/listen to while drinking my tea....go forth and do young (cough cough) man!!!
You can get a P/J in US models......not "typically" on Skylines...although I have an "aftermarket" P/J that says differently! you can always ask....ask nicely and maybe it will happen!
