All these baby picks got me "oooo-ing and aaaaahhh-ing" like a girl here :rollno:. Think I'll look for a UFC fight on cable so I can feel manly again, :D.

well, yesterday was my fist chance i had to play my new to me U.S. 4-94 dual j with my band. and let me tell you, WOW!!! why on earth they discontinued this model is a mystery to me. for a passive bass it has great output. it really has a great vintage tone. but it just sat perfect in the mix with my 2 loud ass guitar players with tube halfstacks.

both of them told me that the tone my bass was getting was perfect and the best of all my basses, i agree!! especially on our drop d songs, wich thanks to the d-tuner that i put on it made it a snap to go to d. it was funny, i could see the envy in their eyes as the detuned their guitars.

i love the fact that it has the original lakland style body and the 1.6 neck
to me, it is the perfect combination and the reason lakland is so popular today. i am still planning on posting some soundclips, but i still have the old highbeams on there that it came with. but here is a picture in the meantime, and since we are on a new thread

i forgot to mention that it is under 8 pounds!

Sounds awesome! So cool to come across a bass that just fits.

im gonna assume that its ash because the transparent finish but the tone of the bass is very alder like.:confused:

i guess it could be alder, the figuring is a little more subtle.

Either way, I'm a BEM fan, but yours is DEF more handsome than the LPB BEM 5er. Great score!!
