So, am I the only guy who thinks the guitarist looks like the Slingblade guy?

Manual For Bass Players:

Rule #1: Never, NEVER upstage the guitarist. They will become insufferably pouty and you will need to watch your back.

Rule #2: Stay to the back and darkened side of the stage---life is easier that way and you will build comraderie with the drummer, whose manual begins with #1 and #2 above.

True! Although I did have a pretty unusual guitarist most of the time. Generally facing his Marshall, or looking at his pedals. Always tweaking his tone. He was too busy for center stage

Very much so, but be careful using that name, some jack@ss will come along and complain that he's not Les Claypool so he's not worthy of living.

Clayton goes through a lot of basses. He had his Lakland kick and he's likely to move on. He did say that he thought he got the best sound ever out of his Laklands (naturally scooped mids), but he moves on.

Hmmm... I could've swore he was playing a Lakland hollow body the night I saw... the bridge looked like an oval. I was half asleep though, so I might be wrong.
