Hmmm.... it's been a while. I should share a snapshot of my kids.

Skyline "Adam Clayton" DJ and US Decade (which I probably should've polished before taking this picture).

Sorry for the crappy phone pic. I just never get around to uploading real pictures. I'll do it soon.

I'm a happy camper. Just finished tracking in the studio last week.

Lakland + REDDI = Love.

That is some freaky serial # stuff...nice bass, I'm still lusting after the last one you got-

So here's a couple of pics of my new to me USJO4. A burgundy mist alder/rosewood combo. These are pics from the Low End site. I've been traveling for work and haven't had time to take any of my own. My only amp was out for service when it came two weeks ago so I haven't even had an opportunity to give it a proper run through on my own gear or compare it to my other JO, natural ash/maple. It's with me though. I've been playing it through a Korg PX4D and headphones. The freaky thing about my two JO's is that only one serial # sits between the two. I bought both of them used from two different sellers two or so months apart. One is JO545 and the other JO547. The reason I bought a second one, as if I need a reason, is that i missed out on a burg mist JO when I started looking. Then I came across the ash maple at an insane price and had to get it. Then of course two months later I find another used burg mist JO at the Low End. I sold my DPLEII to make it happen. It turns out the previous owner had a matched pair and brought them in for Brian to sell one at a time. I wonder if the first one i missed out on was # 546. I'll take more pix when i have time maybe next weekend when I return home and finally get to play through my rig. I'm also beginning to toy with the idea that the ash maple JO may have a set of Chis in it's future.

Yes Evan I do have a Decade on order. I placed the order in january so I still have a bit of a wait. Maybe even longer than I thought considering how long yours are taking. And Ferg I actually thought about your 4-76 and my ash/ maple JO trading places for about half a minute. But I'm just not an active bass kind of guy. And although I love that crazy birdseye neck, the bass is not really calling my name.

Nice score, salty! I played a brand-new twin of that JO at Lakland last week--in addition to being a killer bass, it looked soooo cooool!

Mine are taking a long time due to poor communication spread across three parties. A lot of people have ordered theirs and received them relatively quickly (Markus, Doug).
What are the specs on your decade?

Are you shopping your ash/maple jo around at all?

Thats funny - cos your JO would be my ideal Trade...Maple Neck Nat Body...Although the 4-76 is growing on me:confused:

My Decade is going to be sonic blue mahogany with matching headstock, rosewood board with dots, single coil chis and a tort guard. Markus, if you read this and have some time, I'd love to see a mockup of this. And for now at least I'm not shopping my ash/maple JO around. I'm looking forward to spending some time with both JOs contrasting and comparing. In the short comparison I did before leaving home again they are plenty different. One will end up wearing flats. As long as I can afford to I'll be keeping both.

VERY NICE!!!

You know, honestly, I could be VERY content with that pair as fivers... (and of course the LOG bass, lol).

I have no idea if anyone around here would know, but I ordered a Skyline DJ in white/maple back in February, and that color/neck combination ended up being on backorder, and still have no news on when it might get in yet :hmm: The wait was originally estimated at a month, then a month later, I was told three more weeks--meanwhile, I'm going quietly insane from anticipation.

I figure it might be a long shot, but does anyone around here know when the next batch of white Skyline DJ's might come in?

Have you called Lakland?

I had a similar thing when I ordered a JO5 with Chi-Sonics. It look a little longer than expected, but was well worth it. The White/Maple DJ is my favorite color combo at the moment. That bass is gonna be hot!
