yep, i got him on the phone earlier this afternoon and discussed it with him. that's when i made the post about going with the singles and hopefully the stacked vol/tone controls.

im not sure you can go with the stacked knobs on a dj,.....well you could but there will be an extra hole in the plate. the plate on a dj has a different shape.

you would have to have one custom made. or you could put in a 3rd stacked pot and make that a stacked bass and treble, i believe you can get an aguilar obp-1 that is one stacked pot.

yeah, i thought about that, but here's hoping they have or can make one to fit it....i'll find out what they say tomorrow when leo talks to carl about it.

Ok, here's the current family portrait.

With any luck I'll be updating this in 5-6 months with the new addition.

I thought I saw a sunburst DJ with stacked knobs somewhere. Pretty sure it wasn't a DJ. Making a plate wouldn't be too difficult. I could draw it up and imprt it into Rhyno 3D and export a dxf, or similar file that could be cut. Drill some holes, and bevel the screw holes, then off to chroming. I really think I saw one...unless I was dreaming:-)

it's either that or a J-Retro, but i'm not sure that is entirely necessary with the CS pups...nor do i want to overdo it. i'll have to find some sound clips of jretro vs regular passive bass.

No clips, sorry, but then you have to 'experience' the Chi to truly appreciate them. :D

They don't come with/on the plate, you have to mod your original plate or get an empty plate from Lakland .

did you just buy the plate that audere sells and mount it yourself to an empty DJ plate? that looks like it might be the easiest thing to do...can put the switch where you want, too.

I bought the empty plate from Lakland & the electronics from Audere as it's a special flavor (slightly curved) for the DJ plate (that Audere doen't offer) & drilled the holes for the switch & LED.
