Heh, definitely not. I haven't directly AB'd my Decade with Doug's Jo-CS, but there are definitely differences. And the HB is a different ballgame altogether.

well at the time it was between that one and ferg's 4-76, and i figured for the price, ferg's was much cleaner, but then i thought about the fact that #001 has ds and mm swappable, but then i mentioned it to a certain someone who said i should be doing other things with my money at the moment, so i ended up just deciding to get a new rig and hopefully call it a day.
maybe if i didn't buy the tc rig i could have just gotten a practice amp and bought one of them, lol.
Oh, you should! I plan on keeping my "regular" Skyline DJ in my stable. I still GAS for a J-bass with Chi's, though--the singles sound different from the 'buckers in my Skyline Decade (even when they're in single mode).ouch guys.

In the future, please let us take care of closing threads that are over 1000 and starting the continuation thread. Makes it much easier for us.
I know...they sound totally different. The 4-07 can get close to the JO CS, with some tweaking, but they are all very different. I don't think ChiSonics change the tone character of the bass, just open it up.
I think if i had a choice, i'd go with Ferg's amber 4-76. Darkstar just doesn't appeal to me as much, and after thinking about it, the 'wear' on #001 kinda turns me off.
