it's not the going offtopic or anything like that.
it's the multiple posting of people that should be using the multi-quote feature of the forum, lol.
not pointing any fingers, of course...
well usually it is like that. you work or do whatever you do, and then when you open the forum, it's 7 pages down from your latest post. so you get to read all of them , humbly writing down all the relevant replies on separate scraps of paper (like I do that) to later multi-quote them.
seriously, I did that before, but the time difference makes it a challenge rather than a pleasure. Sorry if it bugs you guys.
Can any of you describe the differences between the single coil Chi's and humbucking Chi's in both humbucking and single coil tapped mode? Clips would be great.
I'd appreciate it, as I'm considering a Skyline Joe Osbourn with some of these seemingly awesome hell to the yeah Chi-Sonics.
Here's what I'm thinking:
Skyline Joe Osbourn (3-tone sunburst, black pickguard)
Skyline Bob Glaub neck (rosewood fretboard, 1.75" nut width)
Chi-Sonics

As the proud owner of a Skyline Joe Osborn (5 string) with Chi-Sonics, I can tell you that it absolutely kills with those pickups in there. Super controllable tone that never seems to be wrong, just delicious in different ways. Think of it as the everlasting gobstopper of tone. Rawsome!
I also have a bass (see my avatar) with non-switchable Chi humbuckers in the decade positions. This bass has sick, sick, sick low end with that Chi up there. I almost always run this one with the blend pot centered, but when I boost the bass on the pre or switch it to the front, we're talking code brown territory...
Unfortunately I can't give you a comparison of the Chi-buckers in single mode cuz mine don't do that, but Markus has covered that well as usual.

the japanese quality is quite on par. we have equal access both to european and japanese cars here so...
Spinners wouldn't look right on my Avensis though, guess I've chosen the wrong style... But I like it a bit reserved.

It is a passive tone control that also works when active and was installed at the factory. That particular bass was a 2007 NAMM demo bass that they used to show the Chis as well as to proto the Decade pickup spacing.
I think both Basspraiser and Markus have killer Chi'd up 55 series (55-07?) with that knob as well so basses can be apparently ordered with it. It's a great thing to have on those basses!
There's a little + sign next to the quote button, so you can select as many posts as you want to quote and then when you hit quote, they're all ready to go for you to reply to...nothing hard about that, no paper needed.
It's within driving distance, as most of the other 48 states are, lol...just takes a little longer.

Hi like Japanese cars, just so far the ones I've drive/owned don't possess this certain feed for the road that I like. Like you can feel the smallish bumps in the road, and the texture, but just enough to let you know it's there. I would think they have that down now though.
