Just going to add that if you have the humbucker Chis and an LH3 pre, it is very easy to get the bottom back when switching to single coil mode.

Welcome! First post starts with a bang! Love that the "Hell to the Yeah" is sticking The ChiSonic Humbuckers are very smooth and thick. When switched into single coil mode, they get that nice single coil top end that is very clear and open but doesn't have quite the bottom of the straight singles. The straight singles are have the single coil sound, but have a bigger booty. Not as big of a back yard as the huumbuckers in humbucker mode, but very large for singles. But...the caveat is the Decade. The single are monstrous because of the neck pickup placement.

As a lover of ChiSonics, you can't go wrong with either. No humbucker clips that I know of yet, but singles are on Lakland's website under JO CS on the audio page.

that'll be the day, though...long time from now i'm sure.

I dig that hatchback STI. I wouldn't be opposed to driving one even though its not German.

I agree! All very nice...I'd have to drive to see if it has that certain German quality. LOVE to have a GT-R though...man...that thing is a monster!

that hollowbody is one of the ugliest basses I've ever seen.

it was made in the prototype years so...
I think it initially had only one pickup. If so, you could change the armstrong to a more conventional looking j-pickup

Hmmmmm, not a very interesting story for me, but what the heck. I fell in love with the looks of them in the late 90's, and then REALLY fell for them when I learned about their Chi-town heritage (I grew up in and around Chicago). Played my first one in Nashville at Corner Music while on tour (a Sunburst 55-94 with a SUPER quilted top). Couldn't quite afford it so I had to wait until 2004 to get my first (a 55-01). Now, 13 Lakies later, I'm still hooked.
