it's too bad i finally bonded with my decade after it was sold:rollno:

but i think ill be much happier with the HB. im gonna drop some chromes or JO flats on it. and it will be my dub,r&b,blues, jazz bass

My skyline hollowbody was to arrive today. I missed the Fed Ex by 15 minutes. Called Fed Ex and they said the facility would close before the driver got back and was closed on the weekend b/c it was ground only!!!! Now it will just sit in the damn FE warehouse all weekend. I am so pissed!!!!!!!!!

Oh man...what a bummer! Sorry to hear that:rollno:

also...just rewired the 55-94 to parallel/neck coil of mm pup/series and it's got a bit more spice, it seems, with series...of course. from a general perspective, it sounds different somehow...but anyway...i'm probably going to wire it back to the way it was.

i'm still contemplating putting the lh3/laklands into the 55-02 before it gets shipped off so i can put the barts in the 55-94 and then down the road some nordies and the latest lh3 or a glockenklang, lol. (think human base)

:hiding:

Well, UPS did the deed and left the BG5 proto on my front porch (we don't live in the nicest neighborhood). My drummer went by the house two hours later (the earliest anyone could get there) and luckily found it still there and took it home for me until I get back in town. I can tell you I nearly had a heart attack when I saw DELIVERED on the UPS site with no one at the house. Oh well, survived this one. The lesson for the day is ask your shipper to require signature....

Seems like a morose day for LOGgers, tonight.
Fedex misses a shipment, Happyfarce is unsatisfied with his new US, and UPS almost screws up a delivery.
Here's hoping things will come around for all of us, Cuz Laklands rock! :bassist:

I used to love the Squier, my first bass. But look at how ugly it looks next to the DJ, especially that neglected fingerboard. I'm naming it "Ugly" now.
However, it's the DJ that needs to go on a diet. Gotta be one of the heaviest swamp ash basses I've seen! (11.5 lbs) I'm naming it "Heavy" now, and this aint no team fortress!

Anyways, then it got me thinking. Perhaps I could unleash Heavy's true nature by giving it a 70's pickup position like my Squier does!
I could always get another 60's bass later with a light Alder body, which I think is a more suitable for a vintage style.

Look at this guy on another thread:

I could probably hide the job better, though, since it has an opaque finish.

I know it's a bit sacrilegious, but I'm thinking I could really take advantage of Heavy's weight with this! What do you guys think? (puts on flame suit):hiding:

btw, get this guys...today i got something important from fedex home delivery. i was completely asleep until about 949am. when i see the time, i figure that they've already been here and jump out of bed so i can check the door and see if there's a tag there. i go into a room on the other side of the house to get some non-pj's on and i hear the steady idle of a diesel engine. i look outside and there's the fedex truck!!

now at this point, i'm kinda flippin out to where i run downstairs with just jeans on and open the door so that the driver will hopefully see that it's open before he comes out from the back of the truck. I go and put a jacket on then go outside and say "Hello?"

so he's still in the truck looking for my package....he hadn't even rang the doorbell.

... guys...what's wrong with me? is it that i can sense when a lakland is close by and waiting to be delivered? idk...too much of a coincidence for me...my subconscious is the winner of the day for waking me up when the fedex truck is outside, lol.
