Official Markbass Club Pt. 2

I'm very into the Markbass/Stingray tone combination. I have an SR5 that, when combined with my F1/Berg AE410 rig, seems to sound great no matter what room it's in. Very little EQ tweaking during the gig, too - it just seems to work well.

I think the MarkBass sounds good with whatever one chooses. My Jazz and P-basses sound equally as good, just different.
I love the SA 450. There are a lot of tonal options, right at your fingertips, starting with the VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) and the VPF (Variable Pre-Shape Filter). I haven't even touched the parametric mid controls.

I sold my LMII. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough...

I couldn't go the F1 route, as I had limited funds. I'm sure it's a beast! I didn't even try one, because I knew I'd want it.
Oh well... The SA 450's no sluff either!

Nope... I had the LMII first, then got a deal on the F1. I still dug the LMII a LOT tho, so I didn't sell it right away, but over time I played it less than the F1, so it was time to "share".I couldn't go the F1 route, as I had limited funds. Thing is, I am looking forward to the new LMIII Tube 800's. Even in the sonic crush of NAMM, it sounded great.
Finally got "the babies" racked up....I am so loving this. Two amps in the rack and the total weight is less than 30 pounds. This same Anvil case with a single SVT3 in it weighed just under 50 pounds.

I used the SA 450 for the first time, last night. I just set it flat and ran with it. No adjustments needed. I used the amp's D.I., set at 12:00 (for lack of knowing how loud it was) and the first comment I got was how much hotter the signal was and how clean the bass sounded. No absence of low end, like someone had mentioned in another post.
The MarkBass head and this LDS cab are a great combination. It could easily fill a room, without being in the "mains".

I have a CMD102P since a month and it kicks ass. At rehearsal our bandmembers were giving me kudo's for my improved sound, and were surprised by the light weight of the thing.
I may be adding a STD151HF or maybe Traveller 151P in the future, what do you guys reckon on that combination?

Does anyone use the Markbass bag for the S450?
I was wondering if you have to take the amp out of the bag to use it, or you just pop open the front and back sleeves.

I've been using the MarkBass Large Bag with my SD for a few months with very good results.
There's plenty of space for the 12' power cable, 5' Speakon and any notes or charts in the side pouch.
It will not provide as much protection as a hard case but it is very convenient.
I do not remove the amp from the bag for rehearsal or gigs.
The front cover folds under as well as the rear and the rear has a couple of Velcro patches which help the whole set-up cling to a rat fur covered cab. My Schroeder 410L has the hard covering but, no issues.
