Official Markbass Club Pt. 2

I am a new member to this forum. I have read extensively through many of these threads while I have been in search of the rig I will own for life and have decided on some sort of MB configuration.
Maybe you all can help me a bit. I play in 2 bands. One, I usually just run through a pre and straight to the board as we are playing fairly small gigs. That band plays a mix of blues, boogie, experimental jam rock, and some classics. The other plays larger venues, outside, and very possibly opening gigs for large touring bands. In that band, we play grungy alt country with a lightly playing drummer. I play on a gretcsh for band 1 and an ibanez semi hollow for band 2.
I am going MB all the way for sure as I love what I have been able to play on...and it won the battle between ampeg svt 450 and an ampeg 410 cab. I just need help with my configuration.
Here's what i am debating...
cmd 102 with a 15 inch extension (you could recommend the extension)
cmd 103 with or without the extension.( I have read very little about these combos.)
or LM head with either 4x10 mb cab or 2 x10 mb cab and 115 mb cab.
I live in the sticks. The closest guitar store that carry these are 400 miles away. I have no way to try all these out. Although, i tried the cmd 102 last time i drove past a gc. I was in love!!

I'd pass on the 103 because of its lack of expandability. I'd also pass on the 210/115 configs because of possible phasing issues (while a lot of folks like and rock that setup, for me, I've never liked a mixed cab rig because even just a little phasing irritates me). I'd get two 210's and stack them vertically. Then you get a nice tall stack behind you so you can hear it as the audience does, you eliminate phasing, and it's almost as big and bad as an 810. Just my opinion, but it is based on good audio principles.

Gotta just pop in here and say that I finally got my other 1x12 and took out the 2 12's with my F1 to my 4th of July gig at Navy Pier and.....
it is over! This is the sound. I was blown away at how great it sounded and am thinking I finally found the perfect amp/cabinet setup. Thank you to everybody at Markbass for building the greatest amp I have ever had the chance to play.

Have you compared the CMD121P with the LMII and NY121 cab? Is there much of a difference because the cab has more airflow (since the head is not in it).?
Here is (part of) my markbass rig.
I have a LMII with 2 121h cabs.
Love it to so much! It's such a good sounding, portable mini stack.
I allready have it for year, but it's the first picture I made.

Just wanted to post up that I've been using a Mesa Walkabout gig bag for my F1.
It works really well! Lotsa padding, extra room inside, and an aded puch means you can carry all the cables you need with you was well.

I played at the Fox Theater in Boulder the other night, and there was an SVT backline with a big Ampeg 8x10. I had my F1/AE410 rig with me, but decided to use the backline since we were the opening band and the headliner's bass player was using it. This was the first time I have played a gig with that quintessential rock rig, at least that I can remember.
I expected not to like it, but I did. It was set up to play clean, and I was impressed with how warm and clear it sounded. I did find myself adding a touch of midrange from the onboard preamp of my Stingray5, which I never do, but other than that it worked out fine. I did not miss the tweeter at all.
Surprisingly, though, for an 810 rig probably weighing in at 300 pounds total, it wasn't very loud. I had it pretty much pegged, and still used quite a bit of bass volume in my monitor. I was standing about 12 feet in front of the amp - far more than normal for me, but still.
