Official TUNE Club

Does anybody know what were the original pups used in Japanese Tune Synchron bases?
Apparently the Synchron was the first model by Tune, and become the "entry level" series as other models were added.

I have one and I'd be curious to know your thoughts on wether and on what model might be considered an UPGRADE on the stock mij. pups.

Anybody generally experimented with pup upgrades on Tunes?

Just picked this Bullseye up. Very interesting instrument. Neck-through with the extra long scale, Tune pickups and preamp. Maple neck, ash wings with walnut caps. Sounds unlike anything else I've played, extremely balanced and clear.

Need to get new strings on it, assuming most standard long scale strings will be fine? Also, what exactly do the mini-switches and the internal trimpots do? One switch seems to shift the frequency response, the other kicks the output up quite a bit. Haven't played with the trimpots yet.

Bumpin' it up!

Having played it for a few days now, has some pros and cons. Well-made, balances nicely, quiet electronics and a wide range of sounds, but tight spacing for a 4 (17.5mm) and I don't quite like the center freq of the treble control. It seems to be more high mids than true highs.

Great looking bass. Did you find it on Craigslist? I have been thinking about getting one of these.
