Something tells me that a real B15 does NOT sound like the one in Jamup when using the Apogee interface. No noise, pops, farts, or hum? Nah, couldn't sound that quiet in '64!

Yes, the B15 on Jamup with a 30pin interface is "too perfect" regarding the lack of hiss, pops and other noise coming out of so old gear. And the speakers in the Jamup B15 can handle endless hour of hard playing with the gain dimmed!!!

I did notice that both Ampegs in Jamup start to fart out in the lower frequencies if you push them too hard. That to me is just cool.
I couldn't put it all down last night. Every time I walked by the Jam, I had to plug in and play a few riffs. My fingertips on my right hand are actually sore this morning. That hasn't happened in YEARS!!
The Jam is addictive. It's really liberating to not have to fight the interface, and just be able to plug in and play. I no longer need noise filters on every preset. In fact, I no longer need noise filters at all, except in AT (go figure).
The coolest thing, and Duke21 will appreciate this, is that now that the noise floor has been raised, I'm able to start experimenting with higher gain settings.
I woke up this morning at 3:30, after finally making it to bed at midnight. Ever seen Predator? That scene where the alien ripped that guy's whole spine out? Yeah, that's about what I'm feeling right now!!
Anyway, being this incapacitated today will give me plenty of time to sit here and get some new clips going. And maybe a play-along!!

You should now try the JCM800 or the JCM900.
The JCM900 have more lows, kind of sound more like a bass amp, but I like the 800 better due to more clarity and nicer OD.

Yeah, I'm pretty much gonna be using Jamup exclusively now, so it's time to start upgrading. I'll be adding pedals first, but I'm sure I'll be adding some guitar amps, too.
I also play guitar (mostly for recording purposes), so I do need a few different amps to choose from. My guitar is an acoustic/electric Washburn, purchased around 2006, so it's got a few years of mojo on her. Sounds great, and since I added the soundhole cover a few years back, I'm able to play high gain tones with it without feedback problems.
Doesn't work so well live, but through headphones I can go full out metal distortion and it works, as long as I'm wearing headphones!!

Do you guys remember who posted that video to see if anyone knew how to achieve his tone? The settings i posted were me trying to remember what my settings were. Of course it will depend on your bass's voice but these are my actual bddi and b15 settings. Of course depending on your playing style and strings you may want to tweak a little but it may be a good starting point. When I started to set this up I had that video in mind but didnt actually have it playing and comparing I just made it while at practice one night to get that kind of "sound" and it sounds great in the mix.
Again it may be a good place to start.

Level: 6.5
Blend: 8.0
Treble: 7.2
Bass: 6.5
Drive: 1.5
Presence: 9.5

I know you guys are just ribbing JimmyM ...but.....Yeah how about that.... Doing an emulation that improves on the original gear and gets rid of hiss and noise.....unlike AT where the hiss is supposed to be like the real amp. AT should tweak that stuff. As Si Robertson would say, "This thangs a piece of junk"

He does do a lot of different tones in the video but for the most part the tone I was trying to get was the first one that he uses his, "initial setting". I'm not using his setting that I saw on on his pedal just by ear. But his tone doesn't sound good on the vid.
