The Mercy is not a nice warm overdrive for low gain with "just a bit of breakup" style OD. That's for sure! I actually love it for that.
Took me awhile to fine tune it with my rig and band, but once I did.. BOOM! Bad ass tone that drives, grinds, cuts and clanks with the best of them.

Id say much better than decent. The Mercy Phuk is a trip, it is definitely a colossal overdrive.

The Irkalla arrived today but unfortunately it looks like the gain knob doesn't work. There is no difference between fully CCW and fully CW, from the tone it sounds like it might be fully dimed all the time. Looks like it will have to be exchanged.

Hopefully I'm not breaking any forum rules, if I am please delete this post.

Shout out to Matt from Wren and Cuff and Scott from Axe and You Shall Receive... Scott contacted Matt who contacted me, Matt is going to send a replacement Irkalla with a return shipping label for the defective one. Awesome customer service! That's going to make my wife real happy given this pedal was a birthday present for her.

It snarls and bites and sounds mean for a muff fuzz, love that!

I did. It definitely wasn't a bad sounding pedal, just wasn't for me. I replaced it with a different brand that has a mid control and it works better in my band situation. Would be great to see Matt offer something similar.

Replacement Irkala arrived today, works flawlessly and it sounds AMAZING in drop c on guitar. I played around a little bit with it on bass, not enough to really dial it in but it did sound great on bass too. Wish I could spend some more time with it on bass but it was for my wife to use on guitar, there is no way I'm going to pry it out of her hands any time soon ;)
