I am with you, always excited for new W&C. I'll be getting this 25 Drive for sure.
I'm never letting go of my Tall Font Russian, but it unfortunately isn't getting a ton of use lately. It completely nails the 90's rock sound I dig and just turns me into a less-skilled Robert Sledge from Ben Folds Five.
Only ONE Bitcoin for a W&C pedal!! What a deal :D

This is pretty smart. 1 BTC is currently ~$16,500!

I got my TFR in the form of the Elephant Skin, and that puppy ain't going anywhere. Not only does the ES sound awesome but the XT boost is so useful with other fuzz pedals live. Its instant live support!

Wow I want this gold version of the Box O War!

Nice matching set with the Gold Comp :)

I have been dying to try a Pickle Pie B and traded for one. It is on it's way to me now. I am excited to finally try one out. I am thinking it will pair nicely with my Phat Phuk B. Now all I have to do is buy another TFR I sold like an idiot!

Did you ever pair these up? I run both and love them together. PPB is always on for me.

Matt said the 25Volt overdrive will be available on the 1st of Jan. We'll see if it is and if anything else is released.

Or if anyone knows anything more about when we might see the Bass Gold Comp that would be good, too.

I brought it up a few months ago and he responded with, " it's on the back burner right now but it will be released. I can't say when, the last time I had said when it will be released and It wasn't I made a lot of ppl mad." Who knows man.

Some thoughts on the gold comp from the club would be awesome.

The Gold Comp was my favorite comp up until I bought the Photon opto comp by Doc Lloyd. I don't like that it pops when stomped, that's about the only con and that it could be useful to have a clean blend for bass but it isn't absolutely necessary.

Pros are that it really sounds fantastic and gives a really nice sheen (as is the word often used to describe this comp) to the overall tone. I think its more than a one trick poney and can be used as a nice preamp at the end of the chain. It does like to be fed overdrive and fuzz and can really open up a dull drive. Placing it in front of the chain and using the bass settings in the manual it gives a bit of boost and grit without hard clipping and the compression is pretty smooth, probably due to the germaniums. Live it really put your tone into the overall mix and sort of warms up the overall sound of your bass. Not a bad comp by any means and rather overlooked for bass it seems, maybe everyone is just waiting for the bass version with the blend to come out.
