You will not regret it if you buy it. I sold 2 of them before I bought my third and it is here to stay! I kept thinking I would flip it for something better but I was sadly wrong. Oh well, sometimes I just have to learn the hard way.
+1. I'm on my second Phatty, and I never should have let the first one go. That said, my second one has the external bias mod which makes it even better, so it was all good in the end.
I've not yet replaced my TFR...now there was another huge mistake, to send that one on its way. I will have a second one of those eventually.

How is everyone setting their bias on their Phat Phuk B? I currently have mine at the factory setting. I have ran it before with it very low so it is just an always on clean boost or a tone shaper. I have also ran it higher to use it as a mild overdrive. What are you I using your Phat Phuk for?
I dial mine back a bit from factory, so that it just barely breaks up when I dig in. With the external volume knob at 12 o'clock, I get a slight volume boost, a little bass boost and a touch of grit and presence. Absolutely perfect.

Two things - very impressed with Wren and Cuff's customer service. The switch on my PPB is playing up, after a quick email they're offering to fix it (lifetime warranty I believe) and pay for the returned shipping to Australia. Hardest part will be being without this pedal for a few weeks!
Also, did anyone see this on their FB page last month? Looks like there may be a (hopefully bass) compressor coming.

Im in with the PPB!! This pedal is fantastic! Adds so much umfp and balls to my signal. Really diggin it so far (pic of my board below). I am planning on keeping it as an always on enhancer. nom nom... I had a TFR at one point but it wasnt my thing. Now if I could only get an Elk fuzz

Ive only had mine about 3 days, I have the external bias. What is the factory preset at?? I keep mine pretty high up there, maybe around 4 oclock. Pure raunch! Im using mine as an always on tone booster and or shaper.
Mine came straight from the "factory" at about 130, I'll double check when I get home though. It is definitely past noon, but not as far as three oclock. Keep in mind that the uniqueness of the germanium means that each pedal's "factory" spot is a little different, I remember reading that each PPB had its original bias point set individually by ear. I've not yet moved it from that spot, it just sounds so good there, but with my first PPB I used some pretty extreme settings and loved them too. It's a great tone enhancing pedal, I leave mine on 99% of the time. I made the mistake of selling my first one, but this second one isn't going anywhere!
I'm starting to think I should've gotten this pedal a long time ago like I wanted to. It probably, well maybe but probably not, would've saved me some time and money. This pedal has so many beneficial elements to it that its a really great tool to have in your arsenal. Very happy I grabbed one. I've been curious about it forever and now that I got one, its everything I thought it would be and much more. The thing I think I like most about it is the fact that it is a very simple pedal, but with that bias knob, it turns a simple pedal into a complex yet still simple pedal. The bias allows for so many different tones and layers,. Very cool. Its a keeper.
