Official Wren And Cuff Club

The Phat Phuk B came today! I am very very impressed with it. It colors my tone in an open sort of way. If that makes sense. It is like my bass came alive. I have just a very slight amout of dirt dialed in and it sounds amazing. It just might be my always on pedal. The only problem with it is that I want the Mercy Phuk now too. I really have no use for my Barbershop pedal now either.

I am glad to hear that. I am thinking of asking him to put the bias knob on the outside of my Phat Phuk B as well. I am thinking I might as well do them both at the same time.

go for it, it's a nice little mod...not necessary by any means, but makes it much easier if you want to adjust it.

Interested to hear about the compressor!

I just got mine back with the blend mod added. I definitely recommend it!

Do you get a volume drop with the blend in the middle? I did on mine, so I emailed Matt saying it sounded like blend was out of phase but he insisted that this was not the case... :eyebrow:

That was back when they first came out though. So if there was an issue there perhaps it has been resolved by now.

Yeah, I've noticed that as you turn the knob toward dry, you lose a little bit of wet volume. Gotta up that volume knob a bit to compensate.

That's why I thought there was a phase issue. The volume jumps up again once you turn the blend past the middle and towards the dry sound, and it also had a different tonality when not at 100% blend. I tried it with a separate blend pedal and did not get this problem. So I sold it on!

01. My wish list included a germanium-flavored comp by Wren & Cuff back in summer of 2013. Fortunately, I found this forum and the picture of the pedal!
:hyper:

02. Mind if I join the Wren and Cuff club? I got both of the Phat Phukz on my pedalboard (pink for unity gain and "slight tone crayola" and silver for "solo boost")
:crying:

P.S. Thanks Matt. Definitely getting my hands on that
germanium-flavored comp!
