Joe was nice enough to get my Vinny done in time for our recent New England TB GTG... it was shipped FedEx overnight Saturday delivery and actually delivered to the GTG location.

This one has exceeded all my expectations. Here are the specs:

Nice! Those Vinny models have really caught my eye as a travel bass. The 5 string looks nice, and if you get the base model, the price is quite reasonable. Pretty cool!

That one really is a beauty. If I ever see a 4 or 5 for sale used, might snatch it up! I would doubt there would ever be a 'carry on' issue with these.

I use my Vinny 5 for travel and have never had a problem getting on the plane or in an overhead

I haven't had time to do a formal comparison, but right away this bass is a lot punchier than my TJ.
