I remember seeing an ad for a one of a kind Sonus Classic in neon green somewhere on the interwebz, I thought it was on TB. However, I just can't find it anywhere here or on other bass forums (yes there are other ) I frequent. Maybe I am remembering it wrong...

I am only 25, feel like I am getting old...

Yup, that's the one. Really cool bass!

BTW, is that a knobless pot or a switch?

Divorce was what I was told he has 2 others in the in different colors one is a 5 string, and the charcoal 4 looks awesome

I have my fretless TJ5 for sale at my local guitar shop (In Canada). I love the instrument, but I find myself playing my fretless Sonus 4-string. I don't think I will ever make the transition to 5-string.

Waiting on a 5-1 will be using it with a Mesa Boogie Big Block 750 and custom JBl loaded cabs, for a Metal progressive Rock Tone.Hoping to get an Earthshaking chest pounding Bowel Movingfundamental (cleaner yet grumbly tube tone ).Will post pics .Excited .First Zon .Went from Music man 5 to Modulus jazz next stop Zon .Hoping this is "the one"

Was looking to replace my Music Mans ton of bricks tone with better playability .Iam getting older and tendonitis from repetetive lifting at my day job has made it hard for me to play .Joe said it would play like a Ferrari (fretted) and would sound more organic than my Modulus -which I did like alot but just did not have that massive grumbling tone .I have heard that modern grumble with a friends Roscoe .Hoping the tone on this will have that modern approach and playability .Cant wait .

Hope that was a warm welcome ?good luck not a good luck as in (not going to happen with that amp,bass,cab configuration) .When I say grumbly I mean growly .I know this Mesa is capable of lots of distortion but I just like it edgy not all distorted .The body is ash not alder.

Hello!!! And welcome to the club!!! I gotta tell you I've had Sadowskys, Music Mans, Warwicks, Tobiases, etc... and my Zon Sonus is one of my favorites. I haven't played a Modulus in a long time but I think my Zon is very warm for a composite neck. It has a very punchy sound, good for heavy music and the neck is very confortable to play. Anyway, when you get yours let us know how you like it...

I haven't played a Modulus in a long time but I think my Zon is very warm for a composite neck. It has a very punchy sound, good for heavy music and the neck is very confortable to play.

This is exactly the way I feel, and is exactly Joe's intent with his special formula. His neck material and construction is VERY VERY different from Modulus. Both are great products, but I've always felt the Modulus is just a little to "clinical" sounding (if that makes sense). Yeah, it has all the tonal purity and lack of dead spots and such, but I've always heard the tone of Zons as much more "natural". I do also like Joe's neck profile better, and I also like to stick with 34" scale for the most part, which I believe is a custom option on a Modulus 5, but "standard" on most of Joe's models.

Anyway, again, both are great products, but Zons are just WAY more my thing.

Definitely a warm welcome . I meant more in the sense of "good luck coping with tendonitis and I hope your new bass puts less stress on your hands".
