Hi !

I am looking for a second hand Zon bass. It's very complicated to find in Europe (I'm French).
I find a model in Italy, probably a Zon Sonus 4/1, with this serial "120603" :
ZON SONUS - #6728016 - su Mercatino Musicale in Bassi Elettrici 4 corde

Do you know if it is possible to get information about the bass with just the serial number?
What is the right second-hand price for this model?

When I got my Sonus 5/1 I sent an email to Zon Support with the serial number and got a response with build year/specs within a couple of day.

It looks priced ok, well hard to say as they are hard to come by in europe

A 4/1 popped up around here for about the same price ( [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] ), except the mid control and switch

I'd ask more pictures though

s/n 120603. Single pickup w/three band electronics and mid select switch.

I read part of the Zon topic, but couldn't find the information: when did Zon necks get a trussrod? I'll prefer to begin with a model with one.

Zon did not tell you the year it was made?

I asked the same and truss were started to be added late 2000s if i recall well.

The bass lools really pristine i would probably try to ask a couple of hundred cheaper but if they are no issue with the neck i would not worried about the truss

It might have a truss then. Very “modern” one, i’d jump on it. Has a BG feel to it.

My 2006 has a truss rod. I think they started more like early-mid 2000s.

The specs say it has Chrome hdwr, the pix show black. Is this the right bass for the specs?

Might want to contact the seller and see what can be found out. Maybe the chrome hardware was replaced with black?

Yep it has a BG feel, seems like a good deal specially for europe. Looking forward the NBD

Ordered in June 2017, arrived March 2018, just one month over ETA. Of course that was well before the disaster formerly known as 2020.

Hello, I got an answer from the seller ... very lapidary. I asked several questions, I never got the expected answers, about the condition of the neck, the fretboard, etc..
The price is non-negotiable and seems too high for a bass on which I don't have enough information. Big heart but no risk taking.
Waiting for the next second hand.
