Official Zon Club Part 5

This Sonus 4 is listed on my local CL. It's described as a 1995 model, but I've never seen one with the metal control plate. Also says it has "factory installed" Seymour Duncan pickups. Anyone have any insight as to whether or not its been modded?

Does anyone know where this bass ended up?

SOLD - 2013 Zon Sonus 619

A 19 mm spacing Zon 6-string is one of my dream basses...

Trivia: when I was considering a Zon back in 2017, I played that very bass at Jive Sound. In short, I was so impressed with its build quality and playability (even though I'm a five-string guy!) that I decided to order a Zon, and I'm happy I did.

Good luck finding that one, it's a beauty for sure!

Wow, I bet that bass is a beast! I have a Legacy Elite Special 6, and it's at the other end of the spectrum: 16.5mm-ish spacing. I figured that all the Zon 6'ers were similar, but I think it speaks to Joe's willingness to make custom instruments that an instrument with this spacing even exists. I really enjoy seeing the different stuff that has come out of the Zon shop over the years.

Business is business but I'm seeing more and more some shop snapping the good classified deals or individual listed ZON, marking up by close to 100% sometime and relisting. The scarcity of the model makes that eventually they will succeed in making a profit but still....
