Good question- I haven't emailed him to ask recently but I've been thinking about it because I'm about ready for another batch. The Zon nickels are still one of the only two sets of strings I really use. They're so good.

Yes I’ve tried so many different strings on my Zon and I keep coming back to the Zon strings…they are truly a superior jump up in quality of feel and sound. I thought Joe might have the Zon store at full steam ahead before the holidays approaching quickly, I hope all is well

NBD. I snagged this from the classifieds last week. I played when I was younger and recently decided to pick it up again after more than a 25 year break. I loved playing fretless and always wanted a Zon. I will put this aside for a while I re-learn to play on a fretted bass. Hopefully my fingers and brain will someday get back to where I left off.

Thanks for the info Pickles. The pickups on mine are different than most i have seen on line while searching.I found the add that the previous owner bought it from and it had this listed for the electronics:
Seymour duncan pickups
Seymour duncan pre-amp Active electronics
Bass/mid/treble/pickup blend/volume controls
