Meh, I used to own 2 Fenders (both Urge I basses) and most concluded that the Urge series is a legitimate Fender....or bass for that matter.

How about a Fender static sticker that comes in different shapes and colors to put on the headstock of a non Fender bass. Slap one over the butterfly on that Fodera and no more ...Where's your Fender dude?![]()
Would a Fender sticker help Fedora basses sit in the mix?
no he didn't. he designed it for spector and warwick hosed it and now has to pay a licensing fee for it.NO!
Ned Steinberger designed it for both companies.
Yup, happened to me a few years ago when I had my Spector Euro.
"How come you don't have a Fender? He asked. After I explained that there are many other great basses and some cost way more that Fenders. He looks at me like I have no idea what I'm talking about and then says, "But Fender is the Cadillac of guitars." I just walked away.
I've played more gigs on my Fenders than anything else, but have received the most compliments about the non-Fenders I've played: a DiPinto Belvedere semi-hollow, G&L L-1500, and G&L SB-2. Other musicians seem more intrigued by instruments they haven't seen before.

Well, why didn't you just get a Fender?
true.....there are those that will use what little knowledge to be friendly and start a conversation, and those who are looking to malign......trick is to figure out which is which.....cost's nothing to humor the former, and who cares about the latter.....I almost guarantee the guy knows little or nothing about basses. He's probably heard of Fender and that's it.
