...please tell me you're joking. "Mr. Rogers" and "fully-automatic rifle" just seem like two terms that should never be in a sentence together.

In truth, I believe that the allegations that Mr. Rogers was a Navy Seal are actually the stuff of urban legends. But it's still fun to throw that out every now and then. :D

I miss working part time... I used to be able to go out and have a social life... lol.

Just for fun, name your 2 worst jobs of all time:

1. Sam's Club employee (still ranks worst)
2. Calltech dsl/dial-up support employee (nothing of promise working there... except becoming an alcoholic chain smoker with tourettes and a dent in the skull from slamming it against the cubicle walls...)

Yup... those have to be my 2 worst... so what are yours?

Jobs? :eyebrow:

I'm a musician, dammit. :D

The only other job I've had is my current day gig - realtor. Unless things pick up, I might wind up doing something icky though. :help:

I just started teaching bass a little - that will help. It's actually more fun than I thought it would be.

My 2 worst jobs:

1. The job I have now. TS Tch USA. We build car seats for a major Japanese auto manufacturer and I'm an evaluator. I'm part of the quality control department and I work on a production line so it's like being in a war and constantly working behind enemy lines. It wouldn't be such a bad job if the management wasn't so horrible. We're constantly understaffed and required to do things above our pay rate, take one for the team if you will. It sucks and I want out.

2. Night stocker at a grocery store. I hate 3rd shift and there were NO hot chicks anywhere in the store. I just got out of the Marines and wanted a job fast. It was the first place I applied and I had such a hard time staying awake, let alone work. I lasted an entire month before I just left one night and never came back.

My two worst jobs:

1) As a kid, one summer I shoveled cow manure onto peoples yards.
2) Being stationed at Loring AFB, Maine... working 12 hour midnight shifts. I forgot what the sun looked like, seriously. Running a snow blower at 3am, because there's a blizzard kinda sucks.

Hey guys, I got an idea I need some local coverage for my business. I dont want anyone to think this is spam cause its just the opposite.

I want a gigging musician to have one of my basses so local folks in Ohio can see it. I am offering to do the work on a custom bass for free just pay for parts to build it.

All I want in return is for you to play it out, and get me some local coverage.

Anyone interested? Again you need to be gigging and in the music scene. Closer to Cleveland area the better you can even come by and help in the process.

What do you guys think.. Again this is only for people who are in Ohio and are part of the club.. :)

sounds like an interesting idea ibanezcollector. Good luck with your project and hope someone takes advantage of the offer.

Capn, I know all about TS Tech, as my friend works for the reynoldsburg/pickerington location. He gripes about the hours and stuff he gets stuck doing all the time.

Hey what's your friend's name? If he's been there for more than a couple years I'm sure I know him. I'm a pretty popular guy around the place.

not an ohio bassist, but my wife grew up in Stow, OH if that counts for anything...If any one is interested, we'll be playing Hartville, OH tomorrow night at Lake High School. Would love to meet and hook up with some northern bass players.

any local events going on in the near future?

I'm hoping to have a GTG either in late March, or more likely early April.

Also, I will be down in Columbus for a seminar on Feb. 22nd, and I plan on stopping by the Fifth Avenue Fret Shop. If anyone is around, it'd be fun to hang.
