Ok, I have a question! :)

I have a Bass amplifier that can run @ 2ohms min @500 watts thats with an extension added. Its a combo amp. Can I run a 4ohm cab with an extension cab at 8ohms? Would that be safe for the amp and cabs?

Thanks

Shaun

Yes, if the combo amp is a 4 ohm 1x15, the "best" match would be another similar 4 ohm 1x15 ext cab. Using an 8 ohm 1x15 ext cab would mean 2/3 of the power goes to the internal 15, and only 1/3 to the ext cab. So, if you want balance, and better sound, use an ext cab just like the internal spkr(s).
