I knew before I looked. Had a friend in college (‘78-‘82) that had one. Sounded great in the studio , rather heavy as I recall.

The bass player in that scene is Paul Hanson, who was actually Michael J Fox’s guitar coach for the movie (and played the guitar solo in that scene as well )

Same here! Rumor has it that back when Huey's band was first starting off, they auditioned for a gig and was denied because they were told they were too loud. If that story is indeed true, I love that they incorporated it in BTTF.
