Is he good? I can't tell because I couldn't hear a note he played because it sounded like there were three songs playing at the same time while he was playing.well, after I saw this guy, I decided that my skills are Mod edit - no profanity

It does require some skill...mostly remembering what to play and when. But Im sorry, but it sounds like cookie monster killing a cat while playing super mario bros
That's funny, I started on a diet of Gary Willis, Victor Wooten, and then guys like Adam Nitti too, but I went the other way, I got a really good country gig and started appreciating the simplicity and emotion and just the songwriting aspect. I've since played funk, r&b, reggae, latin, standard jazz, all different kinds of music and now I'm even working with a flamenco guitarist who I played for years ago. There's some really great metal out there right now, and even some really great pop music! This is a great era for music if you open your ears and your mind!I think that as a musician one has to be open to every kind of music, I started playing bass because of guys like Adam Nitti and jazz and fusion were the only genre of music I liked to listen to, a couple of years ago some friends of mine asked me to play in a metal band with scream vocals and heavily distorted guitars, I was skeptical at first but after I while I actually started enjoying this genre of music and started to listen to metal bands with amazing bassists like Beyond Creation, The Faceless (when Evan Brewer was in it), Opeth and Mudvayne. Thinking of music like this just as noise or a way to show-off is just closed-minded. One can dislike it of course, but has to respect it. But that's just my opinion
I couldn't watch it because of the "vocals."
