I saw a video several years ago when I had to learn Getaway for an audition. 2 bass players. Verdine just played the simple stuff so he could strut around the stage,while the other bassist was playing the groove. Kind of a letdown.

I was glad to see Verdine whip the old Ibanez Verdine White Signature bass. I thought Verdine sounded good. It is good to hear him live for a change. He still dances around pretty good too.

Janelle Monae kicked some butt! Her latest album is great, she should be getting the sort of attention that someone like Beyonce always has.
