Old crate amp! Need your help!

A friend of mine has found this amp for sale and sent me a picture. It's an old Crate and is supposed to work perfectly.

Does anyone know anything about these? How much are they worth/how much should I offer?

It looks interesting, especially the 215 115 cab combo's. But, I know nothing about it's value, though it won't be alot I'm sure. If it actually works, and sounds good, it looks like alot of rig for hopefully not much money.

It is probably worth more than that.
If the cabinets are particle board, the 2x15 weighs 110 lbs or more.

I actually still own the same 1x15, except mine has a chrome Crate emblem with no box around it. I purchased it used in 1998 from Daddy's Junky Music for $175 shipped. Ask him what he is looking to get for it. You know the old saying, the first one to make an offer usually loses.

BTW I will still pair this at times with my Tech 21 rig and it sounds killer. It is a very good and reliable cabinet.

Sorry, I just read your last reply. You were to fast for my slow typing skills. $300 for the cabs alone is a decent deal, however Crate heads really, really, really suck!

I had a crate 410 cab as a kid and it was heavy as hell. I cant see that 215 weighing over 100lbs though. I have an ampeg 215 and its not that heavy. Its made of particle board. $300 tops.
