One which?By far the best G string ever invented outside the Victoria's Secret catalogue! Got one on the way!
Same here but once I started using the Perpetuals under the Oliv G my curiosity about the Eudoxa D faded away.I’d like to try a Eudora D. I did not care for the Oliv D on my bass (paired with an Oliv G and Spiro Weichs) My teacher agreed.
I’d like to try a Eudora D.
Eudora was a nice old lady.I've been through Eudora hundreds of times, on my way from Lawrence to Kansas City!
Eudora was a nice old lady.
. She was only 8 months old and had never been removed from the day she went on (despite changing the others several times) Consider yourself lucky, a broken neck or cracked top would have been much worse. Buy a spare Oliv G and wait till this one breaks or you have a really important gig.All things considered it could have been much, much worse. Note to self don’t ever, ever ever bring the A bass to a C- (turned to F*-) gig. Needless to say I was furious with the venue and still don’t know how to react with the band leader for letting us be in the situation. He was very kind to give me $100 extra from the tips to compensate, but I wouldn’t say it’s smoothed over.
The string made it through the gig and Iam tempted to leave it on to see how long it lasts, but the core is exposed both at the nut and bridge. I did place an order already for a new one. She was only 8 months old and had never been removed from the day she went on (despite changing the others several times)
Thank you in advance for your condolences

What do you mean by "equalizing the tension on the windings?" I'm new to an Oliv G and would love to get a few years out of it.
Sam I remember you mentioning in some other post that the Oliv G would probably pair better with Spiro mitts or 3/4 weichs than my 4/4 weichs. Now that I’ve changed the 3 weichs for mittels, I see what you mean.Good. There really is something sweet about that G string. What were you paring them with? I'd suggest old spirocores in the future.
