OMG!!! Have you seen this beast!!

They are made in germany and if the price of there amps are an indication then it'll be big $$$$$. Here's the spec TecAmp gives:

BadCab
Configuration: 2 x 15”, 2 x 12“, 4 x 10” + tweeter
Power rms:
2.400 w
Sensivity:
105 dB
Freq.-Response:
26 - 19.000 Hz
Imdepdance:
8 Ohms optional 4 Ohms
Dimensions:
157 x 74 x 41 cm / 61,8” x 29” x 16”
Weight:
54 kg / 119 lb

26hz at the bottom end?
Hmmmm....wonder what the actual tuning of the cab is, and what it sounds like putting out a low-B? If it's as pricey as I'm getting the feeling it is, I think I'd like to hear one, even though I would never spend the cash on one...

Techamp are indeed German and they do indeed use neo drivers. I first came across them many years ago when they were called Tech Soundsystems, were successfully using multi-coil drivers to allow impedance changes long before Accugroove tried it (unsuccessfully), and had an angled speaker long before Schroeder cabs were even born.

As for Price - they're not available in Australia but at one stage I inquired about having a 2x12 cab shipped in. The shipping cost made it expensive, but the cabs themselves weren't badly priced.

Humongo!

What amp would you pair it with? Acoustic Image Clarus I? lol

I'd love to hear what it sounds like with my Epifani Quest/Stewart 2.1 front end.
B I G , I'd imagine!

I didn't know that they used to be Tech Soundsystems. I still have an old Tech SS 212 that I use when I'm back home visiting.

Why would you want that as opposed to the same speakers in several boxes. It seems that you're only gaining immobility by putting them in the same cab.

Once you get so many speakers in the same box you lose any advantages of increased size and you have to find something to move the beast in and a few friends to help you move it.

To my eye, it looks like the speaker placement goes like this:
[-----------------------]

l 10" 10" l
