On reviving Zombie Threads.

As someone who sometimes points out zombies when I see them, I can say that when I do so my intent is not to ridicule or criticize anyone, but rather to "warn" prospective future posters who might otherwise not notice (and who wouldn't post if they knew).

That's understandable, especially if it's a Zombie Thread where the question has already been answered and the Necromancer is posting the same answer again or something like that.

Why? Feck them. Why is the zombifier supposed to check the dates and everyone else isn't? And why on Earth is it so important that those other posters be cocooned, with warnings and even new proposed forum functions, lest they dimwittingly post in a zombie thread?

That's kind of my point in the OP. There's nothing wrong with posting in a zombie thread.
