On the other side: what's your favorite DI?

Lot of folks love mic'ing their cabs, but what about the folks who prefer to go direct? I know the REDDI gets lots of love, but what are some other options people really like?

My amp has a DI but I pack a Sadowsky DI/Preamp in my gig bag as a back up in the event of amp failure.

Not DI only, but SansAmp BDDI. MXR M-80 is the "backup."

I also have a Peterson Strobo-Stomp. The built-in DI in that is one of the best-kept secrets around.

I also have a Peterson Strobo-Stomp. The built-in DI in that is one of the best-kept secrets around.

I also have a Strobostomp, but IME it's DI doesn't sound as good as my Countryman, nor the ones built into my amps(M-pulse 600, Streamliner 600, 700rb-II) - although I'd use it to save a gig, if needed...

Every Radial product I've ever tried has been top notch, though...

Another countryman type 85. Although I usually just use the DI in my amp.

I vote radial as well, active or passive. Especially for the money. Next would be an Aguilar 928 off the used market, and if you have the pockets, Avalon or universal audio are outstanding.

Most are pre/post switchable.

They must have improved the DI for the current model then, because the DI in the older blue model sucked.

Yeah, I have the older blue one, and it's DI wasn't that great, IME...

I've used and really like:

Radial JDI
Countryman Type 85
REDDI
Avalon U5

The REDDI and U5 get all the work these days, but I do carry the JDI or Type 85 with me at all times just in case.
