One bass! Just One!

Which bass?

Broadkaster.JPG Kramer 1.JPG Based purely on the difficulty of ever finding another one, it would be between these two. I have seen one other lefty Kramer, but never another lefty Gretsch. If you add playing it to the mix, though, it would probably be the Kramer - but not by much. :)

Until recently I couldn’t have chosen one bass, but I kinda lost my fickleness of needing a variety to chose from. If pressed I would have said “Fender P”, but lately I think I’d be happy with nothing but a Yamaha BB bass.

I’m sure I would (and I think I will) go for a higher-priced one than my BB415 (even though I love it), but it just does everything I want exceedingly well.

As for the bass guitar its easy, DIY. But there is not a bass guitar in the world that can replace my DB when I need it. I like to play a lot with the bow, and you just cant replace DB with bass guitar on that. On the other hand, DB cant replace my bass guitar on my rock groups. But if we are talking only bass guitars, DIY.

I had a BB400 in the beggining of the 90's with Schaller Precision pickups... killer bass...

For sentimental reasons I would pick one of the old cool Fenders, but from a player standpoint I would have to go with the Lakland Decade. On of my least expensive basses, it is probably the best player and has the most versatile tonal range.
