One last comparrison thread sorry

Well my budget went from 700 to 400so my options have to be re evaluated

Alright

Squier classic vibe jazz bass

Why would it be a bad idea to buy this? Please don't use squier as an excuse.

I just need a bass right now. I need good quality, sexy look, and cheap.

I would say make sure you play it first to make sure you get a good one but I think that there are some fantastic instruments in the CV line. I think that some of them sound and play well above their price point.

Not a bass but I own a white CV 50s Strat that gives my American strat a run for its money. Squire is fine by me.

Good quality instruments from what I have played at guitar centers. Is this going to be an upgrade, or a first instrument? Either way, a good choice for a budget buy. However, if you are just picking up the instrument, there's nothing wrong with a less expensive affinity model.

Those are good basic basses. With nice necks imo. I think you can get a bit more though with at least same qaulity from companies like Ibanez. But if you more lean toward JJ pups, the fender squires are great choice. And one can add preamp and/or other pups if you they benefit your sound with JJ pup setup later on.
