one man project drum program help

There's a few, though I've never found some I really like that were free. I used to use a program called Hydrogen. You can load your own drumsamples into it, so in theory you could get it to sound however you like, but somehow that feature never worked for me. It might for you though.

You could always learn beatboxing.

does your DAW have any semi-decent midi-mapper onnit? they usually do. If so, sample up some sounds you like, and map out drum beats that way, or assign the samples, and do your beats on a key-controller. That's the way I used to do it, before I found DKFH & a cheap trigger finger...

I've tried Hydrogen, but it doesn't seem to keep a consistent beat no matter what I do with it. Maybe it's my aging system. Still, I've found a few good kits. If you can, get a drummer to record drum sounds for you, because that's how you'll get the sounds you want. Just don't tell him what you're using them for, because most drummers hate drum machines with a passion.

i often joke with the drummer in my band that we have a drum machine an he just sits behind the kit for the look of it.weve pictures where were rocking out an it looks like he's just sitting there Link Removed like this lol
