We are only 3 pc, no keys. It does sound like a recorder.

We start with a count, guitar player tap-dances some effect or another to "mellow" his tone, played along to just a thump bass from the cajon, then we all come in with the regular beat. Hope that makes sense.

It does. Cool that song is a crowd pleaser. I doubt I would be able to talk our band into playing it... on second thought, it would never happen!

That's too bad, that's what we exist to do, play stuff that's not "common" and surprising people. Climax Blues Band/Couldn't Get it Right, Ringo Starr/No No Song, 4 Seasons/Oh What a Night....bring it on! All go over pretty well too.

That's cool, man. I like your approach to choosing songs. I play in a cover band that does a lot of 80s/90s stuff (unfortunately, lol) a "sprinkle" of country and a few contemporary tunes. We have some cool tunes and ones that are a little bit "different"/less popular. Unfortunately, many of my suggestions have been turned down.
