http://cgi.ebay.com/Metasonix-TM-7-...ryZ41416QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem this is indeed strange. And all for only $449.00
I'd buy it, but I am also a vile, filthy mouthed, gutter thinking individual. I find it humororus... With the way it's set up it might actually sound pretty good too...I wanan try one
Metasonix gear just gets more and more un-appealing the longer he's in business. The only good thing I have to say about him is he "dares to be different". I'm sure there are enough people who like obscure geek gear devices enough to keep him afloat, but the stuff just doesn't sound good IMO- not even in the dirty, glitchy, nasty sense of "good".
Only in theory or "on paper" IME. The reality I experienced was a high noise floor, poor controllability, and bad customer service.
Is the artwork on this pedal original and by someone famous? For $449 it better be Robert Crumb or someone like that. $449? Why?
As far as I'm concerned, any effect pedal with a Ghostbusters reference (there is no bypass, only zu'ul) screen printed onto it is worth buying! It sounds like an old dying SS Crate amp!
It's Metasonix. Outside of Nine Inch Nails, it serves few practical purposes... even for a noise pedal, it's not impressive or even remotely pleasing or inspiring. Unless you're trying to inspire the birth of a headache. And doesn't Reznor just use Metasonix stuff for those crazy noise buildups at the end of some NIN songs? The rest of his stuff seems more like the product of CV controllers, oscillators, synthesizers, lots of patch cables, knob twisting, circuit bending, etc., as opposed to the work of a few Metasonix pedals.
