A luthier has the vision, experience, material understandings, and creativity to create a musical instrument.
He makes a prototype or two to refine the design.
The robot CNC machine then duplicates his precise commands so that he can then spend his time creating the next work of art.
Kind of like how many of the masters in the art world created so many pieces both 1,000 years ago as well as today.
The concept is not new.
There are those that say instruments should be made with hand tools and not electric saws, drills, etc.
