congrats, with only 3 bands youll be playing the eagles ballroom. ill tell you feel special, theres a LOT of bands that work their ass off to get up to that room so enjoy it.for a pretty pro gig id go wireless,im a clumsy but active fat guy and its the only way i dont jack everything up, the last thing you wanna do is step on your cable and fail when opening for a bigger band plus nice wireless systems are good to have and are getting pretty affordable. i was born and raised locally there but i wont be there when you are or i totally thought about seeing ya play and cheering you on/ showing you the town. ive played the Rave bar but never the eagles, but i have worked security there and been to over 150 shows there so if you have any questions about the venue, the area, driving directions, points of intrest (you should spend a day or 2 there its a great town) anything just PM me.

my 2 cents is don't buy a wireless and try it out for the first time at an important gig. go with what you know and are comfortable with. if you are new to the band, you have to impress them as well as the crowd. you wanna plug in and play, not scratch your head and wonder why something ain't rite...

I'd stick with the cord for now; if the wireless system starts screwing up, you won't get a second chance. I'm not sure you have enough time to work out all the bugs before the gig.

Either way congrats man on the show. I think it would be really exciting to play with those guys no matter if they're jerks or whatever. The crowd will be awesome for sure and it will be a great way to make connections for the future. Bring shirts and cd's to pass out if they let ya or do it even if they don't .

I have seen shows in all of the stages at the rave/eagles ballroom (including korn on their greatest hits tour) and walter is right--the opening acts always get the short end of the stick when it comes to sound support, bring everything!

+1 local openers always get s**t upon, especially if there's a "real" opening support act. don't count on any time for a soundcheck, so be ready to power through an adverse stage sound.

I'm pretty sure even their fans don't actually like their music, it's that bad. Anything for the image...


But on to the topic, provided you do make it onto the bill, i wouldn't be surprised if they don't even use your rig for the FOH sound, any show i've played at large venues they just DI you, and usually have monitors good enough to hear yourself. So its all preference. But i'd get in touch with the venue and ask to be certain.
