I think they should view these through the same lens as the Paranormal series for Squire. It should feel like they could have been released 40 years ago. The crazy finishes just feel out of place and caters to a very small demographic.
They could re-release the player series versions tomorrow with vintage offset colours and matching headstocks and the sales would be much higher.
The Starcaster headstock does look slick though. Rosewood neck, matching headstock to the body and then have the small sliver colour match the pickguard.
