Options to eliminate pickup induced fret buzz

Don't have a dog in this fight but let me ask a stupid question. Does the literature that came with the pups discuss anything about ideal pickup height, or how to readjust bridge height if necessary ?

I stand by my original suggestion. Get different pickups

Yeah I’m curious. Because that pretty oscillating pattern you see on some YT videos is due to the rolling shutter in many digital cameras. If you combine a relatively slow frame rate with a fast shutter speed you get that effect. But it’s really just a strobe like effect and not what the string is actually doing. Under a real high speed camera you don’t get that wiggle pattern.

Ok, that perfectly explains why I had no buzz playing acoustic but did after the pickup change. I love how you guys are telling me I'm either stupid or crazy.

i've had to dig out some wood to get some Nords to sit down where they need to ..! they could just be ' taller ' than the MK1 pups ... especially if you consider the exposed poles height ..?!?

every time you remove all the strings ... things can change a bit ..!?

from another person who has been at this stuff since the 60's ...

Exactly how can my steings be hitting pickups 1/2 inch away from the strings. Just because you cant comprehend it doesnt mean it's not happening. And the time I mentioned playing was posted to let you know I am super familiar with my instrument. I can set my own action perfectly. I do so by listening and checking for fret buzz because I dont play with any. You're telling me it's impossible yet its absolutely happening. If you persist in arguing what I absolutely know to be true I'll post a video which will make you look like an absolute fool.

So your saying that not only does the string have to be running the same frequency as the strobe but the camera also has to running the same frame rate as the string and strobe frequency?

I am able to sink them just as far as the Barts. I normally run about 2.5 mm action with 6mm clearance from 24th fretted to top of pups.
