You are probably referring to a thread I started over there.
DIs are mic level, the XLR out is line level +4 db according to Orange. Might be more if you turn up the gain knob. If you want to avoid troubles when playing live you need to have a fix for this, because I haven't yet plugged in in a board that could handle it.
I bought a -25 db attenuator, some others apparently a -40 db. The latter seems to work for sure, I yet have to test out mine.

I like the idea of using an attenuator, I'll look into that.
Have you tried recording with the attenuator? That might shed some light on how successful the attenuator is, I just want to get a nice cleanish signal so hopefully it's an issue that can be easily fixed, and hopefully the signal isn't always clipping/distorted (with low gain) from the amps DI even with attenuation.
