Very true... but Ashley's band had distorted guitars/live (unfortunatly) vocals. It's painful to watch that clip actually. Pitch correction where are you.

ZZ top lip syncs... are you sure... I mean, there beards cover their mouths... mmm that sucks. The Top rocks. But I've never met a sports fan who rocked out to Ashley Simpson, it's a recipe for disaster... and belgium waffles.

Anyone performing at this event HAD to actually perform- just because Simpson was on the bill. So, yes- what you saw is what those entertainers actually put out.

I don't think ZZ Top make a habit out of lip syncing. But I'd lay bets that most large televised half time specials are pre-prepared, so when ZZT were the Super Bowl halftime special 7 or so years ago- I'm positive they were faking it. Odds are McCartney will be faking it this year. That's not saying it's indicative of the entertainer's normal concert routine- it's just a large sporting event where it has to be up and out in no time flat.

Exactly, they're just trying to get a different audience to watch also. Although, I think pleasing the fans that are already watching is more important than pissing them off in favor of getting completely different people to watch. I think we have a name for that...

Avril actually has a pretty good live voice. I was pretty surprised by her recently.
