OK, maybe I don't feel so badly for her now, cause even though she sucks to the highest levels of suckdome, she'll make an obscene amount of cash before her shelf life expires. Then she can show up on the "What Ever Happened To . . . " and "Behind the Music" shows.
I just looked at the clip. I couldn't hear the 'You suuuuuuuuuuuuck' guy. But I did notice that her in-ears were hanging down on her chest. Could she be so clueless as to not realize that, as bad as it sounds in those monitors, it will sound even worse without them?
I keep watching this thing not because see gets booed(well mabe a little.) Mostly because it is funny. "you make me wanna uh uh uh"(that whole thrust thing.) and then that whole other thing with the are in the air. It cracks me up every time.
The real funny thing is she is singing live, but the band is playing to a back up track. That way the band couldn't start with the wrong song.

I was about to start another thread but this is about Scrashlee Gimpson anyway so why not?
1. What bassist do you know plays like that? I'm talking about thrashing his arm on the strings like that. In real life you can't do that without pick-slapping the strings and making an ugly loud noise. So that guy was deffinetly pulling a Sid Vicous. That comment up there /\ about the band playing to a back track already answerd a unasked question though I guess........I doubt he was even holding a pick
2. Is it just me or how do you sport Anarchy at a football game? Its a traditional sport, with people sitting all lined up in stands, and ochrestrated dancers on the ground below. There is systems and plans ALL over the place. Thats about the same as a dude who talks about Anarchy and goes and buys a newspaper from a grocery store. I remember her talking about wanting to be more "punk" in her music and not be so "poppy".....yea.........
3. Ok this is a little funny, I was flipping through the channels last night and stopped on MTV cuz' I felt like getting something to drink. I'm in the kithchen and ...

Jogn Norris starts off and says that Ashlee was trying to start 2005 with a clean slate but there people who aren't as ready to forget "The SNL SNAFU" (It shows the SNL performance) and that people were booing her at the orange half time and some said she just didn't sound so good.
They clicked on to her to hear what she had to say.)
Ashlee:Mabye they were booing at me, mabye they were booing at the half time show cuz' the whole thing sucked.........umm..eh heh heh!!...Ya know, but I can't make every body happy..and if they didn't like the performance and if that what it was about then....sorry to them......

One last thing, if you wacth that clip, you can see that hot dancer lieing on the ground giggling cuz Ash was getting booe'd.

As clearly demonstrated here though in two stills from just after she finished singing, they're most definitely hopeful "I think they like me" smiles, seconds before "YOU SUUUUUUUCK" (Kudos to that guy), so she evidently needed to be told from a stadium full of people that throwing a hammer at a piano would've been more melodic.

More than likely with the juggernaut of her family and MTV/Viacom completely backing her shes going to get a new 5 record deal, a sitcom and a 3 run movie and we won't be rid of her until 2020 when she OD's on heroin while depressd that no one loves her.

I agree with everyone here that Ashlee Simpsons performance was truly awful but I saw the group "Hoobastank" on some MTV award show a while ago and they were so bad they were embarrassing. The band sucked and the singer was out of tune the entire song and they seemed completely unaware of how much they sucked. I think Ashlee realizes when she is crashing and burning, she may not be able to do anything about it but I think she can at least tell that she is sucking.
You guys just wait: Paris Hilton is coming out with a CD. We'll all forget about Ashlee when that happens.
