Yep, even before that event prices were higher than the USA. What US buyers were paying in USD we were paying at least that in GBP.

I lived in London for 12 years and it was during a peak collecting phase for my gear habit. I would pick something up, anything, whenever I went to the US. The active used market is what I miss most from living in Europe.

yeah, that's what I'm talking about, something different that you might not find in the states, and good quality stuff that is cheaper because it is not as popular is my favorite kind...any more to look for?

Everything I stock and blog about on Ampstack on wordpress and Facebook. Carlsbro is basically peak value for money of brands that can be named (as in not a run of a dozen amps from a shed in the 70s), as not really been twigged, they killed their rep with nasty solid states in the 80s. Selmers have just got noticed, so not as cheap as they were.

Anything imported into the UK (almost everything because we hardly produce anything now) has increased in price since the 'event' by a minimum of 20%, and we got shafted before so yes it is rough.

If Orange is made in the far East (IDK if they are) then they will be more expensive now, if they are assembled in the UK most, if not all, of the components will still be imported.

Yes sorry about that, it appears to be entirely the fault of my great uncle Sir Henry and surprisingly for our American cousins, very little to do with a chap called John Wayne.:)X
Dear old Henry came up with the idea of towing a bunch of metal pipes 200 feet behind ships to fox those ingenious T7 acoustic torpedo thingies.:-)X
