Orange sound with ampeg svt 4?

    Good Choice. You wont regret it. Unless you decide to go all tube that amp is probably the last amp you will ever own. (in a good way)

    Don't those knobs have little screws inside them that you use to tighten to the pots?

    Anyway, the heat is normal. It has a big iron power transformer and a few tubes, so heat is to be expected. I think an 8 space rack is ridiculous big, but it's good to give it a little extra breathing room in a rack. And always remember to make sure the head has support on the bottom. Some racks are lacking in that respect.

  3. Really? I had no idea, I'm used to the old matamp oranges that all had the same tonestacks as ampegs. The james/baxandall stack.

    When did they switch to fender style ones and why?
