Robin,

I know that you must be very disappointed after seeing these pics of your bass. Let me be the first to offer to take it off of your hands, so that you are not stuck with such inferior workmanship. ;)

Seriously though, it looks absolutely stunning. May you have many years of making beautiful music together.

:D

LOl, K, you're first on my sell to list!

My expectations around the lines and qualities of the corners, purling, scroll, etc have already been exceeded, and I especially am loving the figure on the claro walnut back.

We have spent some time discussing varnishing and I think Nick is about to produce his best yet in that dept as well. Stay tuned!

Looks fabulous, Robin. I'm assuming that those are the Sloane machines? I've never seen the burnished silver ones before. Are they new on the market? No matter, IMO, they're the best and it figures that Nnick would choose them.
I'm here, slobbering, lusting and body fluids are running until I can see and hear the bass in person. :atoz:

That's right - you're going to get to see and hear it in person, you lucky bastard! ;)

Those are burnished Sloanes. I was asking Nick about something along those lines and he has someone who makes them for him.

And yes, I will bring it over sometime this summer!
