Oregon Bassist's Club!

If numbers are still to be had, I can has one?

I love Oregon. My wife's sister and her family moved to Portland back in 1996 and we've been coming out for visits ever since. Been wanting to move here all those years but my jobs always took us elsewhere.

We moved here to Portland just about a year ago. Loving it. I've lived all over the country, literally. Lived in 15 different states in pretty much every region and have traveled extensively across this nation. Oregon is tops for us.

I work for the state now and hope to never leave the PNW. I mean, the people are great, the beer and coffee, the natural beauty. Right here there is a confluence of rivers, we can be in the mountains in 90 minutes, at the beach in 90 minutes, the high desert is just a little further on East.

This is the only place I've lived where after I haven't had this thing of a few months in and the honeymoon was over and I started to plot my escape. We may not always live in Portland (though we love it) but I hope to always stay around here.

Club me a number! Keizer bassist.

I saw a two-year hiatus on this thread a couple pages back. Is this thread still alive? Would hate to think we'd have to go north for a GTG...

C'mon Oregon bassists, shake of the rust and let's get this thing rolling again!

This thread does appear to be pretty dead. We don't have anyone handing out numbers currently.

Someone new should probably take this thread over.

I agree. I sent Tinsley, the OP, an email this morning via TB. Waiting to hear back. But if he's an no-show, I think we need to either recreate our own OBC thread and ask that this one be closed, or simply take over this one. There aren't that many of us, so going to a new thread wouldn't be that difficult.

Anyone else want to chime in on this theory?

I'd be willing to take over but I couldn't gurantee that I'd get numbers out very steadily, I'm a busy guy even though I spend most of my free time here.

If no one else will do it though I'll step in. Gotta represent mah home state!

...Home of the Barker Bass and Breedlove Guitars. Been playing steady since 1972.

Ditto on the 1972, and just picked up a Breedlove bass a few weeks back. Love it!

So as soon as we hear - or don't hear back - from Casey Tinsley, we'll try to come to some conclusion on this.

I sent him a second email via his web site. According to his website, looks like he spent some time in the ER last week. We'll give him a couple days to recoup.
