LOVE the CB76.


These things sound great (ian is great), but here's my question: I already have a wd800, so what would be the application of this? Do you just stomp it for an extra sound, or do you leave it on all the time? It seems redundant to run this preamp into the mesa preamp. Yeah I get it small and light and you could use it as a direct box, but those Mesa amps are small and light too. Mostly I'm just looking for an excuse to buy it!

Run it into the effects return of the Mesa and you would bypass the Mesa preamp. Double check the manual but I believe that is how the effects return works without using the send.

I can't see why they would. Combo products suffer from a diminished flexibility in routing.

I'm pretty sure ive seen some pedals where two effects were put in one box and you could just flip a toggle switch to change the order. That said I already have the cali and won't be selling it

I wondered the same. My guess is that it'd preform well.

Admittedly, I didn't did much to find this but can the cab sim be turned off or is it always on for the DI out?

When the pedal is engaged the cab sim is on, there is no option to turn it off.
When the pedal isn't engaged you can have the cab sim on or off.

I'd prefer to also have the option to disengage the cab sim when the pedal is on.

I am a big fan of Origin, they will probably get more of my money soon. Every thing they produce is just done right. The company has big ears and the stuff sounds good!

Yeah, but what if you don't want them next to each other in the signal path? With something like that, is has to be comp->amp or amp->comp. What if I want something between those?
